A Thankful Heart

A Thankful Heart is part of a small Amish community in northeast Indiana, Shipshewana. We opened our doors  in 1996 and embraced the community and all it had to offer. Scavengers for the past , we search for old doors, hardware, buckets, feed sacks, porch pieces, shutters and the like, and transform them into one-of-a-kind pieces from things left behind.

Everyday brings a new idea or emphasis to an old idea, presenting an adventure in country and primitive craftsmanship.

Specializing in one-of-a-kind handmades, A Thankful Heart offers primitive furniture, scented candles, lamps & lighting, folk art dolls, textiles and much more!
